North Denmark in 3 days: Exploring the beauty of nature
Denmark has a lot to offer. The most known is Copenhagen. I love Copenhagen it’s a beautiful city but what about other places in Denmark? Did you know that Denmark has sand dunes? Have you ever heard about the place where two seas meet?
In the North of this country, you can find many beautiful places created by nature. Denmark is a small country so you can travel by car.
Aalborg
I spend two night in this city. I found accommodation again on Airbnb. It’s my favourite website where to search for cheap accommodation.
Aalborg is the biggest city in the North of Denmark. There are many universities so, in the city, you can meet lots of students.
I didn’t spend so much time in Aalborg because I wanted to explore more natural places.

Løkken Mole
Løken is a city on the west coast of Denmark. It’s a small city but it is a favourite place to spent vacation there. The city is windy and it’s why there are waves good for surfing. I saw also a surf school where they can borrow you everything and also teach you how to surf (two hours were for 350 DKK). There is a sandy beach with many white small houses. It creates the image of American style. The view it’s beautiful.
Rubjerg Knude Fyr
Only about 30 minutes by car there is sea-mark rounded by sand dunes. In my opinion, it is one of the places that everybody must-see. HOw I said before there is a small desert around the sea-mark and the place is very windy, thanks to this the sea-mark will be covered by sand.
We left our car on the parking slot and then we had to continue by feet. It is about 2 kilometres far.
The place is really windy so I suggest you to take some scarf and sunglasses because you will have the sand everywhere.
Grenen Beach, Skagen
Have you ever heard about the place where two seas meet? Then you south visit the most northern place in Denmark.
There is a clear line between the seas. You can stand with one foot in Baltic sea and the other one in the north sea. Then it is just on you to guess which one is which.
Frederikshavn
Here you can find the only beach with palm trees in Denmark. It is a sandy beach where you can play games and relax.
