One day in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand
This time I decided to go to explore Thailand.
This country is a favourite destination for many tourists and I wanted to find out why. It is easy. Thailand's islands are beautiful places with blue lagoons, white sandy beaches. It's a great place for diving with colourful fishes in coral reefs, swimming, hiking in nature or just relaxing and sunbathing on the beach. It sounds almost like Carribic but it is way cheaper. We can find Thailand in Asia. The capital is Bangkok and the population is about 68 million. Thailand is a kingdom, their current king is Mahá Vatčirálongkón. Their currency is a bath and the spoken language is Thai. Not everybody speaks English so it is hard to communicate sometimes.

My trip started in magical Bangkok. Bangkok is one of the biggest cities in Thailand. It is noisy and full of traffic. This city lives also at night. You can see two different faces of Bangkok, day or night one. If you are going to Thailand, Bangkok is definitely on the "must-see" list. This place is cheaper than the islands. You can also communicate in English here better than on the islands.
Flight tickets:
I booked flights online (kiwi.com) from Wien to Bangkok. The company I flight with was Emirates. I can highly recommend this flight company. The service was excellent, food was good and everybody was nice. Emirates flight to Dubai to terminal 3. This terminal is huge so if you have stopped in Dubai make sure you have at least 2 hours to change plane. The price depends on the season or if it is direct flight or flight with some stops.

Accommodation:
Accommodation in this city is easy to find. You can stay in luxury hotels but if you are planning to explore Bangkok, I recommend to stay in a cheaper hotel near to metro station. It helps a lot to know the city better. We stayed in one hotel between the station "Asok" and "Nana". Almost every hotel I book online on Booking.com.
Transport in Bangkok:
Before landing, you have to fill out a form. If you are Czech citizenship and stay less than 30 days, you don't need a visa. Almost every international flight fly to the new airport Suvarnabhumi. From the airport to the center you can go by metro City Line, it is the cheaper way. If you want to travel comfortably you can also take a taxi, but it is more expensive. Metro can take you almost everywhere in the centre. It is possible to go also by "Sky train". I recommend you to download the app for your mobile named "Metro Bangkok". You can use it offline and it will help you a lot with orientation.
Food:
There is a way how not to spend money on food. You can try street food or go to 7/11 instead of some expensive restaurant. Definitely try some fruit, it is fresh and juicy. The fruit is really cheap here, about 30 or 40 baht but depends on the place.
What to see in Bangkok:
We had just one day to see the most important things in this city. All of the most famous things to see in Bangkok are located next to the river. So you can take a boat there. The only thing you have to do is to get to the Skytrain station named "Saphan Taksin". There are some companies you can buy boat tickets with. I recommend you to buy one for 180 baths (if you book it online before, then it is for 130 bahts). This ticket is good for you if you want to stop in more stops, get out off the boat, see and then get on the boat again. The company's name is "Hop Stop". You can visit: River City Bangkok, China Town, Flower market, Wat Arun (to see the golden Buddha in Wat Pho, you have to cross the river with the ferry for 4 bahts) - entrance: 100 baht, Grand Palace (entrance: 500 baht) and more.
You have to wear long jeans (no leggings) or skirt and some jacket, to hide your shoulders.
